Discover the everyday life of a reindeer herder on a real reindeer farm

Reindeer farm visits

A visit to a reindeer farm takes you into the real life of a reindeer herder. You will see how reindeer are fed and cared for, hear stories about the traditions of generations and experience what reindeer herding is like in Lapland today. You will get to know the reindeer up close, feed them yourself and capture this unique moment with photos. You will also have the opportunity to ask the reindeer herder anything that concerns you about reindeer herding or life in Lapland – you will get answers directly from a professional who lives this tradition every day. For us, reindeer are not a sight to see, but part of the family’s history and everyday life, which moves with the rhythm of the seasons. On this trip you will experience the authentic atmosphere of a reindeer farm and gain a deeper understanding of what reindeer herding means in the north – for nature, people and culture.
