We are a reindeer herding family from the Kyrö reindeer herding area. Reindeer are our job, our livelihood, and our way of life, and we want to share this everyday life with visitors in a genuine way — without the trappings of mass tourism.

ElämysPoro was born from the desire to open the everyday life of a reindeer herder to guests as it is.
as we live it. Our farm is located in the village of Raattama, where reindeer graze and the seasons determine the rhythm of the work. We have learned the practices of reindeer husbandry in the family for generations, and we cherish this knowledge every day — from feeding and herding to calving and winter migrations. When you arrive at our place, you step into the middle of a real reindeer farm: no sets, no rush, just the nature of Lapland and the reindeer in their own peace.

Authenticity, locality and hospitality guide everything we do. Our promise is that every visit is an honest look at reindeer herding — not a pre-made show. We meet our guests like friends: in small groups, unhurried and listening. Nature and animal welfare always come first; if conditions are not good for the reindeer or guests, we adjust our plans. That’s why the experiences are unique and truly ours.

We organize experiences in small groups (usually 1–8 people) to ensure a relaxed atmosphere and personalized guidance. Tours are planned according to the seasons and weather, so reservations are always made by asking for availability — this is how we ensure a safe visit on the terms of the reindeer and nature. Tell us your wishes (e.g. a reindeer farm visit, a Northern Lights tour or a combination of these), and we will tailor the experience to suit you. Our goal is that you leave our farm a little wiser about reindeer husbandry and with a heart full of the peace of Lapland.
